DVD drive could not be found!!! WTF

Arg. I popped a DVD into my iBook G4 today and the DVD player said:

A valid DVD drive could not be found [-70012]

I have restarted 5 times or so and the computer is not recognizing anything to be in the DVD slot. I cannot get my DVD out either

Any suggestions? I greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks

How have you tried getting it out? Have you tried restarting whilst holding down the mouse/trackpad button? Is this the only DVD that has behaved like this?

The funny thing is that I DID try everything I could find online and nothing happened. The DVD just poppped out randomly last night. Weird.

Did the DVD had any bends in any way and have you tired putting another DVD into the drive?
