Just bought the 13" base model MacBook Pro and all seems fine except that the dvd drive seems a little different than my previous white '09 macbook. When I insert a dvd into the old macbook the drive will "suck" in the dvd when it is only about 1/2 way in the drive. With the new macbook pro the drive doesn't "suck" in the disc until I push it in almost all the way, perhaps with only an inch of the disc sticking out. Is this the same with your macbook pro? Thanks.

This is to prevent pinching. Some people might have their finger in the hole of the disc and not expect it to "suck" it in immediately.

Thanks for the replies. I was getting worried that mine might've been defective. :)
