It has now been about three weeks and I have not been able to get the DVD player in my G5 to work region free, I nearly had luck with a great post from a guy who told me exactly what to do and how to flash the drive, but as I am running Leopard the firmwear was for Tiger, and I was unable to change the programme SystenVersion.plist from 10.5.1 to 10.4.9 as I did not have the Appropriate Access, this just made me mad. not matter was I did I could not get the access I needed...
I so I been reading a few post and replies to me that say I could also just by an external DVD player that would be region free, and idea's? Anyone using an external DVD player to run/watch DVD on the iMac?? What should I be looking for, as this in the only thing I need to be able to do on the iMac that I can not do now...
My preference would be to get the DVD player in the iMac to run DVD region free, but it is starting to take over my life at the moment..
