Dvd Or Cd Sharing Help!

I have a Power PC G4 Mac that doesn't have a DVD drive and I wanted to upgrade it to 10.5. I also have a Intel Core Duo G4 MacBook and thought I would just use the DVD or CD sharing software. On my laptop, I went to sharing and there was no option to select the dvd/cd sharing so I went to the apple website to download the software. When I was installing it, I got a message that said it could not be installed because a newer version already exists. Well if it already exists...where is it and why can't I use it? It's installed on the PowerPC, but it's telling me it's also installed on the Intel laptop even though it's not showing up anywhere. So where is it? Can someone please help me? Thanks!
