I have noticed that when I play DVDs on my Mac Mini, a sequence of smooth motion will display a tiny "hiccup" in the motion about once per second. I suppose it has something to do with processor speed, but I'm not sure. Is there some way to improve the smoothness of playback?

Interestingly, the problem is less noticeable when I use VLC instead of Apple DVD Player. Still there, though.

very stange...how many other apps do u have running?

I had 2 or 3 other apps running at the time. I was also in full-screen mode. Anyway, my Mini is an old, stock first-generation model with only 256MB of RAM. So maybe the RAM is the problem. But the regular, rhythmic nature of the stutter made me think it was related to the processor somehow.
