This is probably a stupid question, but I still can't figure it out (unlike most things OS X). I noticed that when I upgraded my refurb PB from panther to tiger, that the DVD playback and presentation options went away. I've set the screen never to go to sleep, but it still dims after a few minutes. What settings do you use on your 'Book? Why did Apple change this?

PS. Did a quick search, found nothing. Please redirect me if this is old news.

Don't know if it'll be any help, but when watching DVDs on my powerbook, or any of my macs with a dvd player for that matter the screen doesn't dim, or go out. Quit dvd player and it goes back to normal

Oh ok, that makes sense. But does it dim when you're watching something in VLC for instance? What about just reading a long web page. It seems kind of annoying to have to keep taping the touchpad, especially when it's plugged in.
