Hello

My DVD Player just plain isn't working, it won't start and doesn't give me a message, or anything.
So rather than battle with it, does anyone know a good alternative app for playing dvds?
And don't say VLC, it gives a horrible interlaced image.

Thank you very much

Front Row just quits "unexpectedly" and quicktime doesn't play dvd's.

VLC. Can't believe it's not in the first reply.

Can't believe you didn't read my post.

Isn't there some commercial software?
Or somewhere to redownload DVD Player and Front Row? It isn't on any of my install DVD's.

Thank you

Plex. I'm pretty sure that plays DVDs...

They would be on it, but just not as optional installs like other apps are (as in, generally you need to install the entire OS again to get them). Google an app called Pacifist, it lets you install ANY bundled application straight from the install discs :)

Hey, I just saw someone write that on the apple support forums... and it works :).
Thank you all for your help.

DVD Player just works. If your installation of DVD Player doesn't work, then DVD Player is probably not your problem.
