DVD-player app issues

After upgrading to Mavericks (from Lion) the native DVD-player app has been acting weird: When going full-screen (which moves the DVD-player to a new space in Mission Control) another grey space is created, and this every time the app goes full-screen and back (Check image!)

Has anyone experienced this issue as well, or does anyone know how to resolve this?
