DVD Player Crashes

For some reason DVD player keeps crashing whenever I try to watch a movie. It generally happens in the menu screen. Is there a reason for this? Is my dvd drive dirty, or is there something wrong with the software itself?

Mine is doing the same thing, except that it don't just happen when the menu comes up. It does it sometimes when I'm viewing small clips like deleted scenes. I am running 10.6.4, I'm waiting for 10.6.5 to see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't then I will reinstall the OS.
