DVD Player crashing

Hey guys. I was trying to play a movie I got from Netflix with the DVD player, and for some reason, at the same exact spot, after it said "Skipping Damaged Area" it just crashed, unexpectedly.

Does anyone have any idea id OS X is acting up? Or is it because the DVD is damaged?
