DVD player disappeared!

So I have been using Leopard since may or so. The DVD goes in the drive, the DVD Player auto plays it - usually. I put a DVD in, no auto play. So I go into applications and no DVD player. I searched and searched... it's nowhere, nothing. I can't find a download for it either - any suggestions? ideas?

Just pop in the OS X Restore disks, the grey ones that came with the computer.

Funny thing is, mac destroyed my previous imac, and gave me this one - sans the disks... I actually begged for the disks, but apparently that is policy... they wouldn't even give me a box for the new computer, I carried the thing out of the store... ridiculous.
