Whenever I view a DVD in apple's DVD Player app, there is "static" in the form of colorful lines/pixels. Its like the graphic card screws up. Like the screen doesn't refresh, so menu elements are glued there...its like when windows freezes and you can "paint the screen" by dragging a window around...you guys know what I mean.

So DVD Player is pretty much useless to me. I never have this problem with any other app, so clearly its "DVD Player" and not hardware related. I use VLC to watch DVD's with no problem. Thing is, 10.5.2 broke VLC, at least made it crash 90% of the time.

So anyways, anyone else experiencing the dvd player problems?

I'm experiencing the same problem.
The weird thing about it is that I was able to watch with DVD player before. I guess one of the updates messed it up.

Anyone else encountered this?
