DVD player Orange/Green lines?! Please help!

Hey all!
I have been using my Ibook G4 for a while to watch dvds on but all of a sudden about 4 hours ago these green and orange lines have appeared and are cutting up the image...
The strange thing is is that when i use another third party dvd player on my ibook these lines still appear but do not on VLC (I would use VLC but it flickers from time to time). Also i have an old desktop G3 and these lines dont appear on its DVD plaer... any help???

I just got the same problem on my iBook G4. It seemed to be triggered by watching one scene on a particular DVD, and then it affected every DVD I tried until I gave up and shut down the computer. After I booted back up, it was fine again. But I still can't watch that scene without bringing the green lines back.
