DVD player wouldnt read & some Cd's wouldnt play either,,

hello folks ,

boy oh boy Ive tried and searched and apologies if there is a post here that I missed in relation to my issue..

- so , background: MBP , 2 years old , medium to heavy use but not as much with DVD's , Logic board gone capot 2 month ago but fixed under apple warranty.

- Problem: DVD reader wont read anything (tried upside down trick ) and some CD's wouldnt work either. tried to install Snow-leopard and it spits it out after 10 secs. it seems to like blank CD's or burnt Cd's but thats no good when trying to load new software.,,

- phoned apple and they couldn't care less

this is what the profiler says :

That sounds like the drive is actually faulty - could be a slightly misaligned laser. Definitely take to Apple and see about a repair/replacement (in the very worst you can always replace it yourself).
