DVD Player

Err how do i get my DVDs to play under quicktime or something else like divx? I don't know how to skip parts of movies in the default dvd player without skipping a whole chapter. In windows media player I would just drag the tracker, but I don't know how to do that with the default dvd player on my mbp. Any help is appreciated!

Hold down the buttons that look like this:

You can change the scan rate under Controls > Scan rate.

VLC can play DVD's you just load the Video_TS folder on the DVD.

With regards to fast forwarding, its like Eric said.
