I seem to be having Apple DVD player problems, software sense I updated too 10.3.5.

The problem is choppy playback of most of my DVDs.

I thought it might be hardware but I have check all my setup and it is all OK.I have also done all standard check with Panther and all is OK there to. I managed to play the same DVD with "VLC" and it played the movie fine all works OK.

Does someone here have any Ideas as to why Apple DVD player is not working properly for me.

What country are you in? Specifically, are your DVDs NTSC or PAL? I've heard that PAL DVDs are harder to decode because the player is apparently optimised for NTSC.

i have the same exact problem. im in california. i tried everything i could think of until finally i just backed everything up, and formatted. i didnt install 10.3.5 again. i installed the 10.3.4 combo update. everything works fine. yet 10.3.5 on my iBook G3 plays dvds without a problem.
