I have a Macbook Pro Laptop & like a lot of people, I have used up my DVD region changes, so I now have a DVD player set to region 1.

Wasn't bothered at first but I am extremely limited to what I watch now. Before I go the long way around I was wondering if anyone knows an easier solution?

I am not interested in VLC or Handbrake as a workaround as I would prefer to Flash my firmware, I have the files and instructions however the problem I have is that the main file is a Windows file and would have to do it via Boot Camp which in turn means loading a Windows O/S onto my laptop etc etc. If this is the only way? so be it and will have to decide either way but thought I would post here before I spend hours messing around.

My DVD player is a: HL-DT-ST DVDRW GSA-S10N: AP12
