Hi,

Today I inserted a DVD to watch a movie. The DVD player in the ibook requested me to accept a "region change" in order to play the DVD.

Careful of my decision, I prefered to decline this time and I have come
to write this post. I am starting to move around a bit more between the
U.S. and Europe. I am only allowed to do five changes. I have done only
five.

My question to you is, do I only get a total of five changes ?? What can
I do if I need more of them ?? (Supposedly I have a better computer,
compared with my sister´s PC laptop. However, her computer can play and
exchange DVDs of any region without any limit).

Thank you for your help,

igmolinav

**Sorry, I made a mistake. I meant to say that I have done only one change of the five or six that one is allowed.

Thank you again,

Once your on your last change - whichever region you decide to change to - that becomes your fixed region on your iBook. You are then locked to that region.

However, why not use a program such as VLC media player, and play any region DVD's without changing the region?

I installed VLC but

Hi,

I installed VLC but once the disc is introduced the built in DVD from the computer won´t recognize that there is a DVD until I do the region change.

What can I do, as soon as the disc is introduced, the DVD player asks me if I want a region change. If I decline, the disc is ejected, not even allowing VLC do play the disc.

What can I do ???
