there's probably been threads about this before, but i searched and couldn't find any. (i'm new to forums and such).

anyway, what i would like to be able to do is rip dvd's to my macbook hard drive and then be able to watch them (for trips and such when carrying dvd's is inconvenient) i downloaded about mac the ripper, but after it's burned it's just a bunch of files. none of them will play in the mac dvd player though. help please!

To play them in the Apple DVD player go to the File menu and select Open DVD Media. Then click choose on the VIDEO_TS folder that Mac the Ripper created (in a folder named after the DVD which you ripped).
