DVD screen grabs/downloading myspace.com videos ...

Hi there.

Can anyone please tell me how to take a screenshot
of a DVD? I tried using command+shift+3, but I just get
a message saying 'Screen grabs are unavailable during
DVD playback. Please quit DVD Player first.' Obviously,
if I quit the DVD, there's no image to capture!

Also, once downloaded, does anyone know how I can
save myspace.com videos to my desktop?

In both cases, do I need additional software?

Ambrosia Software's SnapzProX will let one take a screen grab even from a DVD. Just fork out the $30 after your free 30 day trail ends.

Play the DVD using VLC. This will allow you to take screenshots (and also bypass region coding if memory serves).

recommending VLC and SnapzProX.

I downloaded VLC and was able to use it successfully.
