DVD Shrinking App

Hey, I want to backup my Back to the Future DVDs since i love them so much, and i don't want anything to happen to them. Is there a good (preferably freeware) app that can compress the dvd contents down to 4.7GB? Also, how user friendly is it?

Try Handbrake or Mactheripper.. they are both user friendly, Mactheripper seems to work best when ripping dvd to dvd, Handbrake seems to work best for ripping dvd's to h.264 for playback on you computer.

Fast DVD Copy 4.x does exactly what you want. It's not free though.

DVD2ONE or Toast will do what you want. They are not free though, 40€ & 80$ respectively. Toast is a multi-purpose burning app, that I find to be invaluable and well worth the money. DVD2ONE only shrinks DVDs, but it does a pretty good job.
