I'm using DVD Studio Pro 3 to burn my finished Quicktime movies (made in Final Cut Pro 4.5) to DVD.
The operation nearly always works just fine, but when it doesn't,
the "encoding assets" operation always seems to get hung up at the 42% point.
Anybody know why this happens??
In a effort to fix the problem, I ditched the quicktime movie, closed DVD Studio Pro3, and performed the "Dump Preferences" operation that usually cleans out all dust and ghosts that can foul up an operation.
I then reformat FCP once I open it again, then dump the Preferences for real, THEN output a new Quicktime movie of the one I want to burn to DVD Studio Pro 3. I'll always output the QM to a partition that has lots of room.
This time I have a movie that's only 40minutes long,
and Studio Pro 3 is STILL getting hung up at that darn 42% point!!
Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to fix this?.....please?
Thanks,
Bruce
