I replaced my 2010 machine, and purchased Final Cut Pro X. Video editing is something I do for fun here and there. I'm somewhere between a hobbyist and an amateur.

As part of setting up my new mac, I'm trying to keep things clean versus a full restore off the old machine back-up.

My question: Does Final Cut Pro 7 and DVD SP still work with the latest OS ? Any issues? I don't want to load the software if it will be unusable. The only reason I'd load FCP7 is due to some of the projects I've previously done.

I know there's a lot love/hate for the different Final Cut programs, and I don't want this thread to re-start a debate (or a "go Premiere") thing. I own the software already....

Appreciate all assistance on offer.

I have both FCS3 and FCP X installed, but have not used FCP 7 in a long time. I still use DVD SP; export Master file to desktop, then to compressor for proper audio and video files to put in DVD SP. I like keeping a master file so I can deliver in other formats as well.
