DVD Studio Pro emergency!

I've got a friend in a bind.

He's using 10.3.7 on a Dual 2Ghz G5 (methinks, it may be a 1.8)
160gb hard drive - 30gb free
1Gb RAM (i hope, may be 512)
Superdrive

DVD Studio Pro is version 3

He's doing a project consisting of 30 clips or so, with static menus to access. It's crashing whilst encoding to burn. Now the clips are from FCPHD 4.5 using Compressor to convert them to MPEG2...

It's crashing while it's doing it, after about 15min it just freezes for a second then the app quits, with no "Submit bug report" window showing.

Anything that can shed light on it?

It's for a customer who needs it tomorrow, hence the emergency!

yes, this has happened to me before, i was going to say that he probably needs to revert to a backup project file, or worse yet, start from scratch!

But since his menu's were static, I wouldn't think it would take too long to redo, since the video is already encoded.

DVDSP must really be prone to this. I've had to fall back on the backup file a few times myself when the same thing happens. Its quite unsettling. Glad it worked out for you.
