dvd studio pro, play button not active in simulation

I am creating a dvd in dvd studio pro and when I burned the disc and tried in my dvd player, it didn't play, it just stayed in a "stopped" position. When I went back into the simulation of the dvdsp project, the play button was not highlighted. I could only simulate by hitting the enter button. I have done several dvds before but this has never happened. How do I fix this?
