iPod touch dvd to 2nd gen ipod touch

what mac app can convert dvds to be compatible with 2nd gen ipod touch? i was using handbrake but when the movie is done it says the ipod won't play the file. i tried .mp4 and avi...

Try converting the files that handbrake makes with iSquint/VisualHub. Also, you could try Mactheripper

Rip the DVD using Handbrake, and the settings I have:

The filetype is important, but so is the resolution. iPod supports a max of 640x480.

I use handbrake all the time. I just use their built-in settings for "iPod Hi-Rez" Works great.
