I know this is the horse that people beat to death on this forum, but I have read the previous posts. I have read forums on handbrake as well. After 3 hours I am tired and would love someone who knows to just tell me what I am doing wrong. The consensus seems to be that handbrake with vlc is the best ripper out there. I have Mac X just bought the imac in March. The message I keep getting is that handbrake cannot find a vlc on my computer. I download it (again) from that message. I put it in my applications folder. I have tried downloading the 32 bit (although I don't see where you can specify on vlc) I have tried having vlc open when I start the whole thing. I successfully downloaded a movie using macripper, but it won't go into my itunes. There troubleshooting says just drag and drop, it won't go.
Just as a heads up, I did try to find my source in handbrake with the attempt scan without vlc, it wouldn't even find the source.
Somebody please help me. I have even been looking for good programs to buy that will make it worthwhile, yet looking at their forums, they are having similar problems.
