Hi,

I have received a dvd from a family member with some wedding footage that i would like to put through Final Cut to edit. Unfortunately this format isn't compatible in Final Cut and i need to convert it into some other file type suitable for use in this editing system, like avi or mpeg4.

Im working on a Mac platform, can anybody advise the best course of action?

Many thanks in advance.

Had hoped somebody might have some solutions. But it would seem replies are a bit thin on the ground!!

The file format on the mini-dvd is DVD_RTAV, which i believe is a format the Sony mini-dvd cameras produce.

So again the problem isnt that i cant watch or access the mini-dvd, its just that i cant use it in Final Cut and therefore i need to convert it.

hope somebody has some ideas.

Thanks.
