DVDVideoGadget not found

Hi, recently acquired an iMac G3 450 with OS 9.0.4. Gets error 'DVDVideoGadget not found'. My searches found old posts indicating this happened to others after an update, was an easy fix, but the link provided to macupdate.com no longer works and can't find further info. (It was ID 3012). Anyone familiar with this? Fingers crossed.
