Hey, I am going to hook up my MBP to an external monitor, but not sure which DVI cable to get. Been reading around and I think I need a DVI-I, but not sure to get a single-link or dual-link. Could anyone tell me the difference. Thanks.

A DVI-I or DVI-D will work fine. You only need to worry about getting a dual-link DVI cable if you have a 30" or larger screen or one that recomends it. Most screens will come with one.

Also another question... what is the difference between 28 AWG and 24 AWG. and if i get DVI dual link will it still work even though i only need single link for my 22" monitor?
