I recently moved and had my cable installed today. I cant get my cable box working with my monitor however because it does not support HDCP and will not work with my DVI to HDMI adapter.

They also sell DVI to Component adapters and a cable with dvi on one end and component on the other, but some posts say it only works with some things....so will that work going from the cable box to the monitor or would I need a converter box ???

Also monitor is a 24"Eizo Coloredge CE

Also I have a dvi cable with a vga end that came with my monitor, can I use a comonent to vga adapter and plug that into the dvi/vga cord?

I think I need to go the other way?

Component out to DVI in (monitor) or is that what you where saying?

Thanks for the link it seems that using DVI-I will use the cable boxes analog output and the monitor should accept it?

I would assume it has DVI-I since it came with a VGA/DVI cord and dual dvi inputs.

I found this cable on newegg.
