I have a DVI to S-Video adapter hooked up to my PowerMac G5.
I have previously used the adapter to hook up my TV as a second monitor, but unhooked my computer and when i hooked it back up, it stopped detecting the second display.
I have tried switching around the monitors, with no luck.
When i plug in the s-video adapter, the lcd screen(my original monitor) refreshes, but it still wont detect the second display.

So frustrating...please help!

Gotta go with the easiest solution first: Have you tried going into the system preferences under Displays and clicking the "Detect Displays" button? From what I've seen on older Macs, whenever a new display is plugged in while the machine is on, Detect Displays needs to be clicked. Otherwise, the computer will automatically detect displays upon startup.

I have clicked detect display so many times that i am now incredibly disgruntled.
I would have given up by now, but i know it works...because it has worked in the past.

thanks for gettin back to me!
