I have a DVI to S-Video adapter hooked up to my PowerMac G5.
I have previously used the adapter to hook up my TV as a second monitor, but unhooked my computer and when i hooked it back up, it stopped detecting the second display.
I have tried switching around the monitors, with no luck.
When i plug in the s-video adapter, the lcd screen(my original monitor) refreshes, but it still wont detect the second display.

So frustrating...please help!

Have you tried resetting the PRAM?
Does the system profiler detect your video output as "nothing connected", or does it not show up?

Is this the adapter you are using?

I use one on my flashed Radeon 9800XT. The adapter itself gets detected as a monitor, even with no S-Video cable attached.
Have you tried the adapter on another Mac?

Hey Dave!

Thats the one.
I should try it on another mac, and I will next time I'm near one.
When I press "Detect Display" nothing happens.
And what is resetting the PRAM?

Thanks for your help.
