I'm looking to buy an external monitor for my MBP and was wondering if it's best to go through DVI or HDMI, or if I can, DisplayPort?

I was planning to pick one up from Best Buy later today and noticed it just came with a VGA cable. That got me thinking I'm going to need to probably purchase a cable and adaptor or it'll just sit around until I can order one.

Also, if anyone wants to help me decide on a monitor....
I'm looking for 22-24", prefer glossy (I know, I'm weird), and I'll be using it for game play, a bit of word processing, and possibly helping to transfer VHS to DVD with iMovie.

DVI and HDMI are the same signal just different plugs.
HDMI usually includes audio (although not always, and DVI connectors can carry audio too)

Ok, great.

Would it be worth it to look for one with DisplayPort? VGA? JK

I'd love an LED Cinema Display but I can't justify the cost since I think it'll mostly just sit on my dining room table.

Oh, are there any displays that support the audio pass through with the MiniDisplay Port? That'd be neat to have so I won't have to worry about audio cables.
