Hi ya guys, as above a while ago i put a pioneer dvr-108 in an emac for my folks and used patchburn for a generic driver, it burns cds fine, read perfectly but sometimes doesnt like burning dvds, especially through toast, so anyone know of a similar thing to patchburn? i heard a lot of people use these drives with no probs.

The Pioneer DVR-10x series should work just fine without patch burn. What version of Mac OS X are you running? The DVR-111D works just fine in 10.4.8.

hhmm, maybe its patchburn itself causing the problem then, i didnt actually test it before running partchburn, just did it without thinking

Yeah, you went with Pioneer which is as close to Apple stock drives are you're going to get. You'll get burning abilities. It wasn't until 10.4.7 that my DVR-110D got FULL support.
