DVR to Mac without streaming

I know how I can connect my Mac to my Comcast DVR DCX3400 and stream the shows and record. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to pull the files off the box like a copy?

Has anyone figured out how to have the hard drive show up on the mac and pull the files off?

Thanks for any help!
