I have two Dymo LabelWriters (a 4XL and a Twin Turbo). Previously I had each hooked to a Dymo LabelWriter print server. Occasionally they would lose connection and a power cycle would be required for both print servers and both label writers.

After a few months of no change, I switched to a USB extender over CAT5. This has worked perfectly and I have been able to share the printers with other networked computers with the share printer option in macOS.

Fast foward a few months from setting this up. I now have a MacBook Pro, and I'm wanting to ditch my iMac and get a 5K display. This would allow me and my wife to share my home office. She could take her MBP to my office, plug it in, and work on photos.

The problem with this is that the Dymo label writers will no longer be available to other computers on the network. I want them to remain available to all computers. One of the options is to go back to a print server.

Can anyone recommend a reliable print server that could allow me to network the label writers? I'm looking for minimal downtime. Preferably a print server that has 2 USB ports available.
