dynamic desktop

so .... I installed Mojave today on a MacBook

I selected the desert image and dynamic desktop but it's been dark here for over an hour and the desktop image lighting hasn't progressed .... is there something I'm missing?

You also have to select dynamic in the drop down. Makes no sense but whatever.

Sorry, I misread. That was the mistake I made. Worked after setting dynamic. Assume system time is local time?
