iPhone 14 Pro Max Dynamic Island shows no animation when charging using Mag Safe

I have a iPhone 14 Pro Max with a magsafe case and recently bought an Apple Mag Safe charging puck. I also bought a stand to hold the puck. Charging works great using the stand and puck and iPhone in the case. When I place it on the stand the screen goes to a circular charging visual along with the current charged percentage. I do not get an animation on the dynamic island. Thought it might be the stand so I checked. iPhone with no case and plugged in to charger using lightning cable=dynamic island animation. iPhone without the mag safe case placed on Apple Mag Safe puck=no dynamic island animation just the afore mentioned circular representation. iPhone with mag safe case=no dynamic island. iPhone with mag safe case on Apple puck=no dynamic island. So, I'm wondering why the different animation when charging using an oem Apple Mag Safe puck. The charging is no problem but it just seems weird. Anybody?
