I'm noticing since upgrading to an iPhone 14 PRO that FaceID is way slower when making payments because of the slow animation from FaceID coming from the Dynamic Island.

Does anyone notice the same?

Once at Starbucks as corny as that sounds. I was in the drive through and the animation kept going. I had to start it all over again. That was the only time.

On the plus side - landscape unlock!

I like the way you corrected yourself by clarifying that it was drive thru 😂🤣 legendary 😂😂😂

It's actually ready to make a payment before the animation is over. If you hold it next to the reader, you'll notice the payment go through before the animation is over. I think y'all just so focused on waiting until after the animation.

The same goes for unlocking/logging into apps.

I know to pay via ApplePay with FaceID authentication, there's a time limit on how long it stays on screen before it times out. I forget what it is. I just authenticate, leave it at the screen knowing it's close to time to pay and go from there.

Correct, but it's frustrating since then I don't really know if it's the necessary timing or not. How come this wasn't tested...
