Do we think (or hope) that Apple or the app devs will eventually optimize their apps around the dynamic island so it’s not covering the content? 😩

I didn't even think of that. Wish they would just let you put stuff where you want instead of snapping it to top left

On my coworker’s 14 Pro Max, when he changes the volume, he has a visual indicator that appears in the dynamic island. When I change the volume on mine, I get the same volume indicator from the 13 that pops up on the left side of the screen. How do I enable the dynamic island indicator instead?

The one that appears in Dynamic Island is the ringer volume. Media volume is always by the buttons.

Go to Sounds and Haptics in settings. Toggle the switch that says “Change with Buttons”

I wish if you click the DI when in a video brought up video controls like when you plug phone in charger in landscape, so maybe a blob for skip 10 secs and back, maybe a volume slider? And captions etc could be good

Can some please try and explain to me how I get live premier league football scores in dynamic island . I am on iOS 16.2

The game in that screenshot hasn't even been correctly optimized for iPhone X's safe area from 2017, so...

I have a few games with this problem and have to rotate the phone so it's not covering a menu, etc. Take the Simpsons game which given EA's track record they'll adjust for the dynamic island in another 6 months or so.

Apple need to make the dynamic island disappear when watching videos in full screen
