Hi Everyone,

Curious if people are using the Dynamic Wallpapers. I have iphone 5 on it and love it. I was a big fan of Android Live Wallpapers back in the day. Or if your using statics what are you using?

From the two dynamic ones they have, I prefer the more colorful one, it's more vibrant.

Currently, I'm using a static wallpaper, with a picture of an aquarium. A wall of water.

I'd like to know what kind of photos to use to get the best effect out of parallax. I've found that galaxies and aquatic wallpapers work.

Good Question

If your using the Statics what gives the best effects I love to know this as well as the wallpaper size since IOS 7 crops it.

I've taken a picture of the ground. On the lockscreen it has a very noticable effect, like the moment is alive.

That's a cool picture! I love how the Lockscreen doesn't take up 1/3 of the Lockscreen and how pictures like these can truly be enjoyed.

When you move it you can see more leaves to either side. I can almost see the reflections on the sidewalk from the rain. It's really cool how Apple did this.

Yeah I was holding back but thats not a very good picture....looks like butt cheeks instead of crotch.

Well how about this..

For some reason, I love how this image shows off the screen size. It makes the screen look 10 times bigger imo.

I like this one because of the unique color. It really blends in with the OS.

i dont know if u guys know about this:

go to settings>wallpaper> and select panoramic wallpaper and then see the awesomeness of parallax on your iphones :D:cool::apple:

How do dynamic wallpapers work anyway? How are they made?
And is it possible to add custom made ones?

I think only Apple can make them at this point. It's not an image, it's actually a part of the OS.

Panorama

OK, so how do I import a panoramic picture to my "Panoramic" folder on the iPhone?

I have several that were shot by friends that I would like to try, but cannot figure out how to get them into the Panoramic folder, and the iPhone does not recognize them as Panoramic unless they are in that folder right???

Edit: I am using iPhoto on my Mac.

Any photos, either form Camera Roll or Albums, should automatically be added to the Panoramic album if they are really wide or tall.

download any panoramic wallpaper from google and it will be shown in panoramic folder.. dont know about other wide wallpaper.. we can try that too...

OK, but as an example, using the canyon shot shared above, it is wide but it does not show up as panoramic, and does not pan when used on the home screen???

It needs to be much wider than it is tall (or vice versa) to be added to the album.
Apparently, 1440x900 is not wide enough.
I tried adding cropped versions at 1440x800, 1440x700, 1440x600 and 1440x500.
Out of those, only the 1440x500 image appeared in the Panoramic album.

Edit: cropping the height so much is obviously not optimal, as the iPhone screen size is taller than that.
