Well, here is another reason Apple needs to pick up the pace regarding the ipod:

Found here for $349 for the 20GB model:

Which I found from the review on CNN.com:

It is slightly larger, slightly heavier, Windows only, USB only (2.0 and 1.1), but $50 CHEAPER than the 10GB ipod! So popular in fact, that "Please note that due to overwhelming demand this item is temporarily out of stock. All orders will be placed on a backorder list and fulfilled as soon as new inventory becomes available." is on the bottom of the order page.

Also of interest, 100 free mp3's:

not bad, certainly better than some of the other horrific looking mp3 players out there. looks a lot like the iPod. i guess it's an ok deal, but i think i would rather just save up an extra 50 bucks and get the 10 gig ipod than that with 20 gigs.

Pricing is a issue that Apple can no longer ignore. They have created an entire new market (small hdd based mp3 players). Sitting on their hands doing nothing is not the way to keep the market. Just ask IBM...

i think they should price drop soon

i just got a 20 gig Archos Jukebox. its great cuz it was only 270 bucks and was mac/pc compatible and it stores everything!!!!!!!!! its a super small portable hard drive that plays mp3's and wmv's!
