When using the Apple Mail app that comes with the iPad, when you start to type the e-mail address the app scrolls down a window with all the addresses that match what you are typing. It includes all the addresses from your contact list and apparently all the addresses you have ever used, including those that were in your contact list and later deleted.

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove those addresses that you no longer use? I thought that they would not show again once they were deleted from the contact list but that is not the case.
