I have a Mac mini 3,1 and I am using Road Runner high speed. At least a couple of times a day my e-mail stops working, I get the spinning pin wheel and a message that my e-mail application has quit unexpectedly and asking if I want to report this to Apple, which I usually do. Then I have to reboot the e-mail. Does anyone else have this problem and is there anything that I can do to help eliminate it?

This sounds ridiculous, but I know some ISPs will block the default mail port for individuals if they suspect wrongdoing (spamming or whatever, though I've only ever seen it happen to regular folks). Now, I'm throwing this out from left field, but maybe try widening the gap between automatic mail checks in the Mail's preferences (set it to check every hour or so), and see if that does anything after a day or so of use.

Maybe they aren't changing the port, but block it temporarily after too much use and then it locks up the Mail.app.
