Hi, guys! I have a Macbook, (Late 2008) so now it would be considered a Macbook Pro? Anyway... I was using my apple earbuds on the instant messenger called Aim, sending some images to a friend. Every time you send a file through Aim, it makes a sound indicating that the file was received successfully. As I was sending an image, the sound came on, but it was 10x louder, Making me jump! I am now nervous to use them, and considering purchasing a different brand of earbuds.
I hope I didn't write that too complicated... :(

Thanks in advance.

I don't think that different earbuds will fix the problem. The volume setting on AIM or the system volume probably got changed somehow.

Well what's weird is that after the thing happened, I put them back on and no problem... Thats what makes me uneasy. Plus, I turned the volume on full and it was nowhere near as loud as it was when it happened.
