Hey all,

I was wondering how to get the microphone on the iPhone ear buds to work with Windows 8 bootcamp. I currently have a Macbook Pro (MD322LL/A) with Windows 8.1 installed.

I plug my iPhone ear buds into the side jack and can listen through them but I am unable to speak through them. Is this even possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

From a Google search it seems that with a little fiddling that you can make them work in Win 7....can't find anything on 8 though, and I know my fiancee had issues with her Logitech gaming rig and Win 8....would work fine under 7 but despite drivers for 8 it was a no go there.:

Hello and thanks for the reply! I forgot to add that I have the iPhone earbuds with the microphone and volume controller and wanted to use that microphone not the actual earbuds as a microphone.

When I plug my earbuds into my Macbook Pro and boot up OSX it works, but not when I try with Windows 8.1. I'm assuming it's a driver issue? But wondered if anyone got it to work, thanks!
