Earbuds keep going out on right side

I thought it was a coincidence but I've had 4 different brand earbuds and they all have gone out on the right side I have a 16 gig iphone 5 sprint from launch. I also use these on an ipad sometimes but I really feel like the iphone is doing something to them after they go out ill wiggle the port and nothing happens the port feels intact any thoughts ? Thanks

So I took a flashlight and looked inside and I see what looks like a cylinder of lint but it's at the end of the socket deep inside I don't know if this is normal and if it can cause earbuds to go out

Have Apple replace the jack.

Have you tried to remove the lint?
