Hi guys. A friend of mine just received a 2.4Ghz MBP which he bought second hand. He is experiencing a problem where every time he inserts a data disc dvd the computer thinks its blank. The discs defiantly have content on them (.dmg's, pictures, documents etc) as they are just simple data discs burnt from toast, and he has tried multiple discs of a similar nature. Video dvd's work fine though and play in the dvd player like normal.
I know the previous own of the computer and everything worked fine then. All they did was perform a fresh install of leopard, transfer data from a time machine backup and then upgrade to snow leopard.
Everything else on the computer is working as normal. Anyone have any suggestions at to what could be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
