Has anyone ever seen a vented bottom on a early 2008 MacBook Pro. Checkout the attached picture (its a MBP I'm looking at on ebay).

Thoughts?

I saw a guy on Notebook Review showing how he drilled a bunch of holes underneath his MBP much like this one on Ebay, to keep it cooler. It's a bad idea because the airflow isn't being channeled to the rest of the machine by doing it this way and can result in damaged components. I say stay away from this one Ebay.

That sticker is an anti-theft sticker. When it's peeled off, it leaves dots permanently attached to the case. Lot's of PC manufacturers use these, attached to the side panel and then the back of the case, and if its torn or removed (to get into the PC case) it leaves those dots.

So, basically, it's probably stolen.

I've been looking at the refurbs...I just like the look of the older version better. And I prefer matte or anitglare

Be aware that any of the non-unibody Macbook Pros with the Nvidia 8600M graphics processor are prone to failure of that GPU. I wouldn't buy any computer with an 8600M at this point simply because of that issue.

I know it...I was thinking of purchasing a square trade warranty...anyone have experience with those?
